Description

Another MLP:FIM + HTTYD connection. A lot of people got interested in the last one I've drawn so I thought I can draw another, better piece. Also, I think these two look cute together.

In the first piece I noticed that Toothless is similar in color to the pony. Here I tried to show, that the dragon is really dark & deserves to be called "the night fury". Also, in the first work Toothless looks friendly, although he wasn't tamed by Hiccup yet before he lost his tail rectrice (tail part...). Soooo... that's a mistake. Now I've shown the reconstructed right rectrice. Not clearly visible until you zoom in a little.

Please compare the last work with this one. It really means to me a lot.

Ok I compared it to the other one and I really like the contrast in this one. More importantly though, the lighting under the wing and on the pony is awsome and the textures look great!

Btw do you scan your stuff or take pictures? In my opinion (and this is because I really like stuff with bright highlights and dark shadows and stuff) this would have looked even cooler if there was just a tad bit more contrast, for example the glare in their eyes could have been more white and scanning/taking pictures has a tendency to kill the contrast (for my drawings, at least. It's really hard to make a scan look like the real drawing!). Also just doing stuff like whitening the clouds in the background would have the benefit of bringing out the shadow under the wing even more and just adding more depth overall. This is all opinion though, and all it would take is some very slight lighting tweaks in Photoshop or something to change!

Anyway, awsome stuff as usual. I know you just posted a drawing recently (today, I think?) but I look forward to more!
